Visuals and music are pretty. Story is interesting. Voices are decent. Hidden object scenes are of the type where you find objects based on shape, then use them to complete tasks to get other objects. They're a bit challenging. Other puzzles run from easy to difficult. There are collection objects and morphing objects to find. The short bonus chapter gives some insight into something that happened in the past. Expect around 6 hours of gameplay, plus there are some tangram-like puzzles to play with in the Extras.. Despite some flaws this is an excellent casual point-and-click adventure. The story is told well, with several interesting characters, and has a surprising twist at the end.Note that there are hidden-object scenes, but they are not in the classic format.Unfortunately the character acting in English is horrendous. One actor in particular seems to have neither talent nor interest. The English translations of the dialog aren't very good, but that doesn't mean actors should just give up entirely.Getting 100% achievements is quite difficult. In particular the bonus mini-games are quiet challenging.. Good game, and I liked the main character.I think my recorded time is low because I had to play the first chunk offline (tornado = power outage and no internet).A few of the puzzles are challenging, and the hidden object scenes are fair, but not easy. Though that last bit could just be me having issues with the "shape" style of HO scene, where you also have to figure out the purpose for each item you collect. The art and music are good, and the voice acting is generally fine, except that "pestle" isn't pronounced "pest-ell".My only real complaint is about story flow. The intro is great, and the early part is engaging: girl acquires strange power and is being hunted. The hunters aren't stupid, and they have a good reason to find the girl. So far, so good. I thought we'd find out about the woman in the intro, and why the girl was chosen, etc. Put another way, I expected a touch of fantasy or mythology (with the phoenix on the main screen), and I got an oddly steampunk feel (lots of broken machines), with a hint of far future. It's not that the story concept is bad. It's quite interesting. It's just that the images (typical leathers, robes, leggings etc) and the quests fit oddly, somehow. And there are lots of questions left over, even though the story itself has a clear and reasonably satisfying ending.End of day thoughts: there must be a sequel and I just haven't found it; the adults our heroine meets after leaving home could be a lot more helpful; this game does well on having HO scenes that truly blend into the game (not random piles);how does a young teen carry an entire boat engine?;some of the fast travel is a little silly - like being able to just come and go from "dangerous" areas at will;I liked the collectibles in this game;some of the achievements are *hard*;I enjoyed the game and would give it a solid 8.5/10.. Caught my attention trying out F2P - Dark Side, left it aside, bought the ' Born of Fire 'Bundle to start from the very beginning.Captivating.For the patience, meticulous and keen eyes.Paying attention to abnormalities, piece all the plots and puzzles together.Impressed with the amount of details, interactions and how the story played out.Takes much initiative, thinking cap, plannings to complete in Hard mode, without skips nor hints, gathering all collectibles and fulfill all achievements in one playthrough.A worthy experience.. POsitive pointes :Good graphiqueGood story Good puzzleBaD one:what the heck with that aggressive music. I would have loved to give this game thumbs up recommendation- but it is not going to happen. I am very disappointed.I waited for this game to be on sale –and I am glad that I did. From mine point of view it is not worth the money. Not even the sale price. The story is somewhat okay for a HOG, but you do forget the story doing so many other none important and often illogical issues. The puzzles are illogical/confusing and do not always connect to the story. The hogscenes are just plain boring: You just have to find the match to the silhouettes. The worst part for me was the frustrating part of the map. After you are leaving a significant part of your life, you have to go back over again and again and again to find special objects. The map is so important to finish the game. The map is SO impotant.Oh: And sometimes the map doesn’t even make any sense. It opens places you haven’t reached yet in the story. Intriguing… Confusing… AnnoyingI did finish the game, but only two of my several achievements are listed. In the thread, I can see that the game is also having a bonus but I can’t see it. I may play the game again for a new experience, but it is not very likely.
